Widget - Article
Information about the Article Page WidgetArticles allow you to create additional text articles using a editor that has similar functions to other text editors like MS Word, WordPad and Notepad. Listed below is a number of functions that you can use in the Zamic editor.
To create an article, click the Article widget button, this will place a fresh article at the top of the page. You can then click the edit widget button at the top right hand side of the widget to edit the article.
Enter in the required text, upload pictures or create tables, then click the Save button inside the widget to save your changes. Once you are done editing the article, click the close button on the top right hand side of the widget.
Buttons from left to right
Style | The wizard button allows you to select different styles for a paragraph. Normal: Normal text Heading: Use this as a heading for some text Quote: Turn a paragraph into a quote Code: Characters are the same width to make code syntax legible |
B | Use this to bold text |
I | Use this to italic text |
Underline | Underline some text |
Remove Font Style | Remove any font style and set back to normal. Highlight the section and click the button |
Strike through text (put a line through some selected text) | |
SuperscriptSuperscript | Set text to superscript |
SubscriptSubscript | Set text to subscript |
Text Color | Set the color of the text (you can do this for foreground as well as background text) |
| Create a bullet point list of items |

Paragraph | You can use this to set paragraph details |
Link | Create a hyperlink to some internal or external content. If you are linking within a Zamic page you don't have to include the entire URL for example you could just use /page/5a5bc31873e9a14852 as the link |
Picture | You can insert a picture into an article (you don't have to use a gallery). You can also resize the picture by clicking and dragging e.g. to the top left and side to shrink |
Horizontal Rule | Create a horizontal rule within your article, you would use this to separate sections without having to create multiple articles |
Table | Create a table like this one |
Full Screen | Turn the text editor into full screen mode. You can click the button again to revert back normal editing within the Zamic site. |
Notes:
- You can copy and paste from something like Notepad, MS Word, Wordpad etc but note that sometimes the formatting may be removed.
- Keep an eye on the Login expires note at the bottom of the page, make sure your login doesn't expire before you save the page or your changes will be lost.
